Join us for an exciting 5-day immersive summer camp (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) where young learners dive into the fascinating world of neuroscience. This year, we will explore how the brain works—focusing on neuropathologies that affect memory and cognition.
Tailored to 4th through 8th graders!
Two weeks available! June 29th -July 3rd and August 3rd - 7th.
Each day introduces a new perspective from the field, allowing students to step into the shoes of different professionals, including a neuroscientist, neurologist, pathologist, histologist, and electrophysiologist. Through this multidisciplinary approach, students gain a deeper understanding of how science is applied in real-world contexts. Our camp blends engaging brain anatomy demonstrations, hands-on experiments, interactive lab activities, and fun, game-based challenges designed to reinforce learning.Led and developed by neuroscientists, our program encourages critical thinking, nurtures curiosity, and inspires students to ask meaningful questions about the biological systems that shape who we are.At BioCompass Kids, we believe science should be accessible, engaging, and fun—while also being a powerful source of knowledge and inspiration.

TERMS OF SERVICE
EFFECTIVE DATE: April 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding contract and govern the use of the website at https://biocompaskids.org/ (our “Website”) and other products, Services, activities, and camps including, but not limited to Camp Biocompass (together with the Website, the “Services”) offered by BioCompass LLC.These Terms provide important information, including our limitation of liability and your waiver of any right to participate in a class action. By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. It is important that you carefully read and understand these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services. Your use of the Services will constitute your acceptance and consent to these Terms.Changes To These Terms Of Service
We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time, at our sole discretion. All changes are effective immediately. You agree that your continued use of the Services following such changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes to these Terms.
1. Payment & Cancellation PolicyRegistration and payment are processed through our secure booking platform. A participant’s spot is not reserved until registration is completed and payment is received.Full payment is required at the time of registration to reserve a participant’s spot. Due to the intentionally small class sizes and limited enrollment capacity, as well as the preparation of materials for each enrolled student, cancellations significantly impact program planning and availability for other families.Cancellations are subject to the following terms:More than 45 days prior to the camp start date: $50 cancellation fee, 100% refund of total tuition
30-45 days prior to the camp start date: 75% refund of total tuition
15-29 days prior to the camp start date: 50% refund of total tuition
7-14 days prior to the camp start date: 25% refund of total tuition
Less than 7 days of the camp start date: No refunds will be issued
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. In certain circumstances, transfers to a future session or program credit may be offered at the sole discretion of BioCompass LLC.Tuition Assistance and Scholarships
Need-based aid is available. We encourage all interested students to apply. Families must submit their financial aid request and supporting documents within 3 days of applying to enroll. Tax forms are required for consideration.
For more information email us at [email protected]
What Tuition Includes
Enrollment fees cover all classes, materials, lab personal protective equipment, lab notebooks, extracurricular activities, and camp memorabilia.
What Tuition Does Not Include
Enrollment fees do not include meals, transportation to and from the program site, or optional items such as camp apparel or STEM kits.
2. Enrollment ProcessOnce an application has been received for any of our programs by mail or online, the enrollment process begins and all money paid toward the program is subject to our Payment and Cancellation Policy. Failure to complete the enrollment process for any of our programs may result in forfeiture of enrollment and applicable fees. The responsibility lies with the family/student to complete the enrollment process by the due date stated in the enrollment packet (these packets are generally posted within 45 days prior to the start of the camp). All forms must be completed in full; material modifications may result in denial of participation. All programs require that the student/family review and return camp enrollment forms (i.e. medical release forms, rules and regulations forms, enrollment agreement, photo release) and required payments. If BioCompass LLC changes the dates of a program, we will notify camper families enrolled in that session as soon as we are aware of the change. Once we notify you, you will have 10 days to decide whether to keep your enrollment in the program or cancel for a refund. If you cancel in writing within 10 days of us notifying you of the change of dates, we will fully refund your tuition payment (and any other incidentals you may have purchased). If you do not notify us in writing of your wish to cancel within 10 days of the date change, then you agree that your enrollment will be transferred to the new program dates and that our standard cancellation policies apply from that point forward.Return of Final Enrollment Materials
The enrollment packet includes a photo release that families agree to allow photo and/or video footage taken of their child during the course of the camp attended to be used for future promotional and display materials in any and all mediums. If parents object to any specific photo or image of their child being used we will honor requests to remove such photos from our website upon being notified of the request, and from future promotional materials. Families may opt out of media use in advance by indicating their preference in the enrollment forms.
After application and upon acceptance to the program, students will be sent a follow-up packet with final enrollment materials. All forms must be completed, signed, and returned to BioCompass LLC before a student may participate in any BioCompass LLC program; material modifications may result in denial of participation. Families warrant that students must be able to follow instructions, participate safely in activities, and engage appropriately in a group learning environment. It is the responsibility of the parent or family agent who signs a student up for a program to make sure each student meets these basic minimum expectations. Students who don't meet these basic expectations/criteria may be sent home without refund. Finally, BioCompass LLC attempts to be as generous as possible on allowing adequate time for forms to be completed and returned, but in some cases, failure to complete the enrollment process including all payments and all forms by the due date may cause a family to forfeit their enrollment spot without refund.
No Incidental Damages
All parties agree that BioCompass LLC’s liability is limited by the posted refund policies and regardless, under no circumstances shall exceed the camp tuition paid by the camper family, nor shall BioCompass LLC be liable for any incidental damages.
Program Session Cancellation
It is rare that BioCompass LLC must cancel a program, class, or trip due to low enrollment. However, many of our offerings have minimum enrollment requirements. In the event enrollment minimums aren’t reached, BioCompass LLC reserves the right to cancel any given program. In the rare event that a program is canceled by BioCompass LLC for low enrollment, BioCompass LLC will refund all tuition money paid for the cancelled programs. Please allow 14 days for such a refund to be processed. We strive to provide 2 weeks notice or more. It is each participant family’s responsibility to check their email account regularly, and to update contact email addresses with the correct contact information. BioCompass LLC is not responsible for notices not received because of such problems. If possible, programs may be adjusted or combined based on enrollment levels instead of cancellation.
In the event of cancellation due to Force majeure, an Act of God, or cancellation by the host location, BioCompass LLC will provide either a full credit or refund, at its discretion. This credit may be used for any child in the affected camper's immediate family, and does not expire.Program Modifications
BioCompass LLC reserves the right to modify program content, curriculum, activities, materials, or instructors as necessary to support program quality, safety, or operational needs. While the overall educational experience and learning objectives will be maintained, specific activities or components may be adjusted, substituted, or rescheduled at the discretion of BioCompass LLC.
3. Student Behavior and ExpectationsCamp Conduct and Dismissal
BioCompass LLC works to create a positive learning and camp environment for all campers and staff through positive behavior management methods. Campers are required to safely participate in camp and are oriented on their first day to safety and behavior norms and expectations.
BioCompass LLC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse or cancel a camper’s registration, or to dismiss any camper from the program, if it is deemed that such camper’s participation negatively affects the wellbeing or satisfaction of other campers or staff members.Examples of behaviors or actions that may result in dismissal include, but are not limited to, the following: Hitting, shoving, pushing, biting, kicking campers or staff; sexually touching campers or staff; threatening physical aggression toward campers or staff; making derogatory remarks related to race, sexual orientation, religion or other forms of discrimination toward campers or staff; bringing a weapon to camp or threat of bringing a weapon to camp; repeated and targeted verbal aggression toward campers or staff; bringing drugs, alcohol, or other banned substances for minors to camp; being unable to follow staff instructions such that there are safety concerns (e.g. unable to stay with group, cannot handle supplies safely). In the event of cancelled registration or dismissal, standard cancellation policies apply.Assumption of Risk
Attending a camp carries certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. You understand that you and your children may be exposed to dangers and hazards, including but not limited to: use of common classroom tools such as scissors, hot glue guns and tape dispensers; active outdoor play with other children; in-person interaction with other people; use of specialized equipment for certain activities, use of standard laboratory equipment (including, but not limited to, glassware, shakers, hot plates, dissection tools, pipettes, LED microscopes) and laboratory chemicals (including but not limited to, phosphate buffered saline, methylene blue, 70% ethanol, 20% household bleach); as well as the negligence of others. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals are available upon request and are always kept on hand during the camp.
You understand and appreciate these dangers, hazards and other risks that are inherent in these activities, and that you acknowledge that your children’s participation is voluntary and that you knowingly assume all such risks. In addition, a participation waiver is included in the enrollment packet which provides additional detail on safety requirements.Attendance and Illness Policy
Participants who are ill or exhibiting symptoms of a contagious illness should not attend the program. This includes, but is not limited to, fever, vomiting, or other symptoms that may pose a risk to other participants or staff. Missed program days due to illness, absence, or other personal reasons are not eligible for refunds or make-up sessions. In limited circumstances, BioCompass LLC may offer program credit at its sole discretion. BioCompass LLC reserves the right to send a participant home if they are exhibiting symptoms of illness during the program. In such cases, families are responsible for arranging prompt pick-up.
Family Communication and Custody
The Primary Account Holder is the individual who creates the camper’s account and completes the enrollment process, and is therefore the sole person authorized to manage all registration, financial, and account-related decisions. While only one Primary Account Holder can be assigned per camper, that individual may add additional adults as Emergency Contacts and/or Authorized Pick-Ups in the camper’s account information.
BioCompass LLC communicates directly with the Primary Account Holder for each camper, and it is the responsibility of parents or guardians to share information with one another as needed. BioCompass LLC is not able to mediate or participate in custody or parental disputes and will follow the direction of the Primary Account Holder regarding camper enrollment, authorized pick up, schedule changes, and account-related decisions, unless provided with a valid court order stating otherwise. All payments must be made through the Primary Account Holder’s account; BioCompass LLC does not split or divide payments between multiple parties.Drop-Off and Pick-Up Policy
Families are responsible for ensuring timely drop-off and pick-up of participants according to the scheduled program hours. BioCompass LLC provides supervision only during designated program times. Participants may only be released to individuals authorized in the enrollment forms.
A 10-minute grace period is provided following the scheduled program end time (or extended pick-up time, if applicable). After this grace period, a late pick-up fee of $5 per 5-minute interval will be applied. Late fees may be assessed at the discretion of BioCompass LLC and must be paid within 48 hours or prior to the participant’s next attendance, whichever comes first. Repeated late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program.Acknowledgement Of Health Care Procedures
For in-person programs, activities or camps, you give permission to BioCompass LLC to act according to their best judgment in any situation requiring medical attention for your children. This includes, but is not limited to, routine health care, administering and/or dispensing prescribed medications, and seeking emergency medical treatment including ordering x-rays or routine tests. You agree to the release of any records necessary for insurance purposes. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to provide medical insurance coverage for your children while participating in the activities.
Any costs of medical treatment provided to your children that are not covered by medical insurance will be your sole responsibility. You give permission to BioCompass LLC to arrange necessary related transportation for your children. In the event you cannot be reached in an emergency, you hereby give permission to the physician selected by BioCompass LLC to secure and administer treatment, including, but not limited to, hospitalization.Personal Property
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. BioCompass LLC is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought to the program. Families are encouraged to limit the number of personal items brought to camp and to clearly label all belongings.
